Pay, time and expenses
Build a like-for-like comparison
Enter the written terms for each offer. Start with fixed pay and a typical roster; expand additional pay and costs where needed.
How your inputs are handled
Calculations stay in your browser and are not submitted to fly.hr. Saving is optional and stores one comparison in this browser profile. Anyone using the same profile may see it. Clearing site storage removes it; there is no account sync.

Understand the estimate
How annual pay and roster days are calculated
Fixed monthly pay is multiplied by 12. Additional hourly pay uses the higher of expected and guaranteed monthly hours, multiplied by the hourly rate and 12. Sector pay uses expected monthly sectors × additional pay per sector × 12.
Annual rotations = 365 ÷ (working block + off block + positioning outside both blocks). Working / away days = rotations × (working block + additional positioning). Unpaid positioning is subtracted when estimating paid working days. Day-rate pay uses those paid days, and allowances use working / away days.
Cash after work expenses, before tax = fixed pay + additional hourly, sector and day pay + allowances − monthly expenses × 12 − other annual costs. Fractional rotations are an estimate; enter monthly averages across the year.
Check these assumptions before comparing offers
- Use the same currency. Do not count payments already included in the fixed salary a second time.
- The selected working block is treated as payable except for unpaid positioning. If only some duty days attract pay, adjust the assumptions separately.
- Daily allowances assume payment for every working / away day in the model. Check the actual qualifying days in the contract.
- Review training repayment terms, tax, pension, insurance, leave and accommodation separately. These can change the practical value of an offer.
Days off do not guarantee time at home. This tool does not assess tax, social security, currency conversion or legal roster compliance.
